Service Description
A fun and creative afternoon sketching out and about in Skipton under the guidance of experienced Artist and sketcher Amanda Beck. Each session will share tips and techniques for sketching on location. We will meet in Craven Arts in the education room and return after sketching for refreshments and share sketches. During the sketching session Amanda will be on hand to advise and help you when needed. Amanda will discuss her favourite sketching materials and how she uses them. Plans for indoor sketching have been put into place in case of bad weather. All levels are welcome. If you’re a beginner I can get you started just come along and enjoy the experience. What to bring: Bring a sketchbook and your favourite sketching materials. Keep it simple and easy to carry in a rucksack. An A4 or A5 Sketchbook (I will be using Seawhite ECO Starter Sketchbooks. I bought mine from Skipton Art Shop. Please check in advance if they have them in stock) Sketching Materials: No special purchases necessary if you only have pencils then bring them along. Otherwise, a few pencils, coloured pencils, putty rubber, watercolour pencils with water pen small fold out stool. If you don’t have a fold out stool don’t worry, we will find benches and places to sit. Please don’t bring easels or painting gear; the session focuses on sketching, a quick set up and drawing media. Important Please take into account there will be some walking to local locations. A Sun hat and a bottle of water on hot days! We will do our best to find a shady spot. Saturdays 2pm – 5pm April 26th, May 24th, June 7th and 14th (more dates added soon)

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations, refunds and exchanges: If you cancel your course or class 14 clear days or more before the start date, you will receive a full refund. If you cancel your course or class less than 14 clear days before the start date, refunds will be given at the discretion of Craven Arts. No refunds or partial refunds will be given once the course has started. Craven Arts reserves the right to make alterations to the published details course as necessary and/or cancel the course. In the event that the course has to be cancelled or rescheduled, we will attempt to contact you with as much notice as possible and you will receive a full refund. Craven Arts cannot take responsibility for any of your travel and other costs and/or expenses associated with your attendance or planned attendance of the course (including in the event of changes or cancellation by the Craven Arts). You cannot resell or transfer your place at the course or class without the Craven Arts consent.
