Art Club for Grown Ups

Service Description

This is a relaxed and friendly class where a little more time is spent creating with a ‘permission to play’ ethos! Jane devises new projects for each block, incorporating student requests and seasonal topics. This class is an opportunity to try out a wide range of art techniques and media in an informal and supportive atmosphere. Previous sessions have focussed on printmaking, clay modelling, landscape painting, mixed media collage and 3D watercolours! Suitable for: All abilities welcome! Objectives: Art Club for Grown Ups creates opportunities where students can develop and enjoy their own creativity and learn new skills in a supportive and friendly environment, whilst also providing a time and space for participants to relax and experience the therapeutic benefits of art-making. Materials and equipment required: All materials provided. About your tutor: Jane Carlisle Bellerby is a silk and mixed media artist and experienced teacher whose teaching goals are to introduce people to a broad range of art techniques and media, improve creative confidence whilst also encouraging people to view companionable art-making as a tool for nurturing personal wellbeing.
