Make More Music is a project that will be run at Craven Arts House Skipton. Craven Arts House includes a music rehearsal room and recording studio which shall be used during the project.

There will be weekly sessions for 10 weeks on Thursday evenings between 7pm - 9pm

The first session will be 24th April and it will run weekly until 3rd July (this includes a session on 29th May in the half term week and excludes 26th June when there will not be a session)

There will also be a final performance on the afternoon/evening of Saturday 21st June that applicants need to be available for.

Each session will be run with two music facilitators. Matthew Annable is lead facilitator on the project. If you have any questions you can contact him at matthewannable.education@gmail.com

The deadline for applications is 1st March. Participants will be contacted by the 1st April to inform them if they have a place on the course.

The project will be based on 3 key themes:

Collaborative, Connected Performers

Having the opportunity to connect with other talented musicians in the area and learning how to work with other musicians to create quality performances.

Confident Songwriters

Giving participants some foundational tools for writing songs. Recognising the freedom and personal benefits of writing your own music.

Independent Music Producers

Help participants learn to use the technology personally available to them to record and produce music. So they can feel confident to do this independently once the project is over.
